Let's begin...

I have always wanted to be a mother. Since my husband and I were married, that's really all we've talked about, and now I can't believe it's finally happening! I'm a Certified Medical Assistant, and I work in a doctor's office. Basically, I'm a nurse. The only thing that sets me apart from an LPN is that I am trained to do administrative duties and I'm not allowed to work on a hospital floor. Other than that, I take your blood pressure, draw your blood, give you shots, and dress your wounds. I love my job. Not all day, every day...but I love what I do, and I think I'm pretty good at it.

My husband and I are your average couple. We enjoy spending time together. We still flirt, go on dates, make out on the couch, and sit up all night talking (usually in that order). He's my best friend. We have the two furbabies...cats named Cheeto and Minerva. They're a constant source of entertainment for us! Cheeto is very high-energy. He's a puppy trapped in a big fat Maine Coon's body. He likes to be cuddled, and roughed up (especially by Daniel). He purrs incessantly, whether you touch him or not. Minerva was our first cat, and (shh! don't tell Cheeto) my favorite of the two. She's got a big catitude, and she lets you know when YOU can pet her. She's very refined...thinks of herself more regal than she is. Cheeto knows how to bait her, and if she thinks you're not looking, she acts just like a kitten again.

That's basically my family in a nutshell...thus far. I'm 6 weeks and 3 days along today. My first doctor's appointment is this Wednesday, and I'm excited. Not so much about the pap, giving my medical history, and having bloodwork drawn, but I am looking forward to meeting my OB and getting a lot of questions answered. I'm just excited to get this journey started. I feel like I've waited forever for this!
